For me, the privacy issues trumps using my insurance providers device/app. There are couple of start ups honing in on similar idea - http://www.automatic.com and http://www.drivewithdash.com (currently in IP litigation).

Great point Ajay. I can see how privacy could be an issue. But if the user downloads the app aren't the opting in?
